The Supreme Court of the United States has finally ruled that marital relationships of all US citizens, whether heterosexual or homosexual, are considered legal.
The decision was, through social media, hailed by numerous celebrities in the region and worldwide, who expressed their delight at such a legal act being finally upheld.
Among international hotshots who rose in support for the gay population, the first to speak out on Instagram was Natasa Kojic, the daughter of famous Serbian folk singer Dragan Kojic Keba, who’s been living and working in the USA for a while.
‘Congrats on the legalisation of gay marriage in the USA, 21st century’, she wrote.
Dijana Didi Jankovic voiced her support, too, by signing her photo on Instagram with ‘Love conquers all’.
‘I have traveled the world watching the younger and older generation come together and fight. I feel privileged to have witnessed the LGBT community and supporters shift public consciousness. Love wins’, was Lady Gaga’s message to everyone.
‘What an amazing day for equality! I’m proud to be American’, said a reality starlet Kim Kardashian.
Among men, the great football player David Beckham backed the law and saluted those open to same-sex marriage.
Finally, it couldn’t go without Miley Cyrus, who has recently declared herself as a bisexual, expressing her views. ‘What a great f*** day! Thank you America for not cutting my chances of finding true love forever and ever by 50%’, wrote the controversial singer under her Instagram photo.
